PARALLEL LITERATURE FESTIVAL
It is an initiative of Rajasthan Progressive Writers Association (Rajasthan PWA). This festival is against emerging corporatization of literature, along with art and culture. PWA (Estd. 1936) feels that during last 3 decades, capitalism is presenting each and everything as a product in the fields of art, culture and literature, just to appease market forces. We feel that today's world is being operated by the fascists where authoritarian, communal, casteism and anti-aboriginal people and policies are crushing the mankind and our planet. In the name of literature, a culture of Lit-fests is being developed by these anti-human forces, which is creating literature and arts as means of mere entertainment, thus devaluing the great works of the most creative genius minds of our times. Such lit fests presents the non-writers, actors, traders, politicians and celebrities as authors and writers. To oppose this culture, we the progressive writers are organizing Parallel Literature Festival-2018 on 27, 28 and 29th January, 2018. It will showcase real writers with real literature, as well as arts and culture in different sessions, comprising various issues of our deep concerns through this festival. As you know, we don't have big money, corporate funding or millionaire donors, so this festival is being held by our own cooperation, friend's and sympathizer's monetary help. We are eagerly waiting for your kind presence and supportive-creative participation.
